Making Minds, Giving Voices – 6th September 2014, Cardiff MADE

giving voices

This relaxed evening of spoken word will explore all aspects of mental health – from personal experience to societal stigma – through poetry, prose, and performance.

Situated alongside Esyllt George’s ‘Creative Responses to Dementia’ event, this free Making Minds event will open with readings by invited writers who will share creative pieces related to mental health. Afterwards, audience members will be encouraged to take the mic and read their writing inspired by the theme.

Cardiff Mindfest

In late 2013, Making Minds helped to fund and organise Cardiff Mindfest – a two-day music festival, that saw 40 acts play across 4 venues in the heart of the Welsh capital. In addition to all the great music, the event helped to raise awareness of mental health.
